Indeed is a worldwide employment search engine that was founded in November 2004 by Paul Forster and Rony Kahan. Indeed is a subsidiary of the Japan-based Recruit Co. Ltd, and is co-headquartered in Austin, TX and Stamford, CT. Currently available in more than 60 countries and 28 languages, Indeed surpassed Monster as the number one job site in the USA by traffic. Indeed includes thousands of job listings aggregated from various locations online including job boards, staffing firms, associations, and company career pages. As of 2011, Indeed began allowing job seekers to store their resumes on the site and apply for jobs directly from Indeed's website.

While Indeed's site is free to register on and use for job seekers, a paid subscription service is offered for employers wishing to use Indeed to find candidates for their open positions. Employers may post jobs for free, however, if desired the employer may choose to utilize Indeed's sponsored jobs service. Sponsored job services are difficult to list pricing for since the pricing is based on a per-click model and employers may set a budget but are advertised at as low as $5.00 per day. Indeed's Resume service allows employers to search for resumes and contact applicants. Standard subscriptions include 30 contacts per month for $100.00, while Professional subscriptions include 100 contacts per month for $250.00 with a discount for those who purchase annually rather than by the month. Indeed Hire is a service to provides employers with a team of hiring specialists. This service is paid once a hire is made and bills the employer for 10% of the new hire's starting salary.

Indeed paid employer services can be canceled at any time without penalty. However, those on annual plans may or may not be eligible for a refund. The information below on this page will help with canceling a paid Indeed subscription.

3. Ask the representative for a receipt, email, or confirmation number within the body of the email
