JustFab launched in 2010 as a fashion subscription service based in California, operated by its parent company TechStyle Inc. The company was founded by Don Ressler and Adam Goldenberg. Other subsidiary services were launched later including FabKids, Fabletics, and ShoeDazzle. JustFab offers a monthly subscription that may include clothing, shoes, handbags, and accessories. Customers are offered a personalized shopping experience based on their stated preferences at sign-up and on their ratings of previously sent items. JustFab and Fabletics have both had partnerships with celebrities over the years including the Avril Lavigne collection through JustFab and Kate Hudson’s work with Fabletics.
JustFab does not operate brick and mortar stores, all sales are done through their website. Members sign up by making a purchase on the website and are prompted to create their account. Part of registering for an account includes completing a survey regarding fashion preferences. Each month one of JustFab’s stylists chooses items based on those preferences. Customers may then choose an item from the chosen selections, request new selections, or skip the month entirely to avoid being charged.
JustFab subscriptions are priced at $39.95 per month which is charged automatically each month unless the member notifies JustFab that they wish to skip that month. If a customer does not make a selection or skip, they are charged the monthly price which is then stored as a credit toward a future purchase. Shipping is free for overs over $39.00 Members may cancel their subscription at any time since JustFab has no minimum commitment term.
