AT&T’s U-Verse service was launched in 2006 and initially included television, phone, and internet services. As of 2016, however, AT&T announced that the U-verse brand would only include the television packages offered by the service in select states in the USA with phone and internet services offered as separate services also from AT&T brands. AT&T as a company launched in 1983 as the Southwestern Bell Corporation, changing to SBC in 1995 and then to AT&T in 2005. U-verse only applies to television but customers may bundle other AT&T services such as internet and phone with their plans with AT&T. U-verse television is available in several packages. The Basic package includes 15 channels for $19.00 per month, the Family plan includes 200 channels for $35.00 per month, the U-200 plan includes 360 channels for $55.00 per month, the U-300 plan includes 470 channels for $60.00 per month, and the U-450 plan includes 550 channels for $110.00 per month. All the listed prices are dependent on signing a 12-month agreement and may increase in price once the first 12 months have passed. Members may cancel their account at any time but there may be a fee associated with cancellation before the end of the initial 12-month agreement. New customers may receive other discounts for new sign-ups, and pricing listed does not include taxes and fees that will be added to the bill. Bundles vary in price depending on which packages the customer chooses to add to their bundle and may impact cancellation abilities.
